We were invited to join our friends at JEC Thames Valley, who organised a fantastic evening with Jaguar Design Director, Ian Callum. Ian is central to Jaguar's new generation of "Beautiful, Fast Cars" and has won extensive praise for his work, most recently the design of the new XK8 and XKR. (He also had a hand in the Aston Martin DB9!)
The evening was kindly hosted by Lancaster Jaguar in Reading. While it was a little way to go from Oxford it was certainly well worth it for this opportunity to meet Jaguar's Design Director.

Lancaster Jaguar is adjacent to the A33, which is the big dual carriageway going South out of Reading to the M4 and Basingstoke. (If you remember this area from years ago you won't recognise it! The old A33 is now called the B3031.)

From the South:

Leave the M4 at Junction 11. You will follow the A33 into Reading for about one mile. Go straight over the first two roundabouts and then get into the Right Hand lane. The third roundabout is very large, with traffic lights and the Madjeski Football Stadium on the Left Hand side. Turn Right at this third roundabout into Bennet Road. Look for the large Jaguar Leaper. Once you are in Bennet Rd the entrance to Lancasters is immediately on the Left.

From the North:

If you go through Reading town centre you need to travel about two miles South along the A33. You will arrive at the large roundabout with traffic lights (as above) but this time the Madjeski Football Stadium will appear on the Right Hand side. Turn Left at this large roundabout into Bennet Road. Look for the large Jaguar Leaper. Once you are in Bennet Rd the entrance to Lancasters is immediately on the Left.
