Families Day
RAF Benson is home to Puma and Merlin helicopters, and formerly the Queen's Flight. Accordingly, Prince Michael of Kent was in attendance.
The families day entertains around 3000 people. As well as classic cars they have a contingent of vintage aircraft which fly in for the occasion, a good RAF flying display and lots of other entertainments.
RAF Benson
RAF Benson is now a front line support helicopter base working within the Joint Helicopter Command.
It is home to the 15 Pumas of 33 Squadron and the Merlin HC3s of No 28 Squadron. It also has the
Oxford University Air Squadron with Tutor T1s and No 6 Air Experience Flight. The Helicopter Support
Squadron, a RAuxAF/RAF Reserve unit is also located there.
