The run started at Pioneer Automobiles who have a collection of around 30 classic cars for sale. There was coffee and an opportunity to look at the cars before the run started. Have a look at their web site (above) for information about their current stock list.
Pioneer Automobiles
The run left Pioneer at about 10:30 to drive to Long Hanborough.

The Oxford Bus Museum has over 40 vehicles on display. Beside buses there are fire engines, bicycles and extensive displays of photographs, tickets, uniforms and other memorabilia. The Museum has its origins in 1967 and has been on the site of the old station yard in Long Hanborough since 1984. The Heritage Lottery Fund regards the bus collection as "of national importance". There is a free bus ride on the first Sunday of the month (from March to October). Since the end of 2004 the Museum has also been home to the Morris Motors Museum, telling the story of how cars and commercial vehicles were produced at Cowley. There are exhibitions of all kinds of memorabilia, together with an impressive display of vintage Morris vehicles - two museums for the price of one!

There is a cafe or you can bring your own lunch. The museum entry cost is approximately £3. Children are well catered for.

Pioneer is just over the border into Berkshire and so is quite local to most of us. Gidley Farm is marked on the Ordnance Survey map. It is between the villages of Downend and Peasemore.

From the Boars Hill roundabout on the Oxford ring road follow the A34 South for 14 - 20 miles. Leave the A34 at either the East Ilsley, Beedon, or Chieveley exits.

From Downend head towards Peasemore. After about 1.5 miles there is a track on the Left hand side. From Peasemore head towards Downend. After about 1 mile there is a track on the Right hand side.
