RAF Benson
RAF Benson is home to Puma and Merlin helicopters, and formerly the Queen's Flight.

Opened in 1939 as part of the RAF's expansion programme, Benson was home to No 1 Photographic Reconnaissance Unit throughout the Second World War. Between 1946 and 1995 the station was the home of Royal flying, until the Queen's Flight moved to Northolt.

Merlin HC Mk3 RAF Benson is now a front line support helicopter base working within the Joint Helicopter Command. It is home to the 15 Pumas of 33 Squadron and the Merlin HC3s of No 28 Squadron. It also has the Oxford University Air Squadron with Tutor T1s and No 6 Air Experience Flight. The Helicopter Support Squadron, a RAuxAF/RAF Reserve unit is also located there.
