and average speed cameras on the road works on the A34.
Her Majesty The Queen opened the new £65 million Chemistry Research Laboratory (CRL) in 2004. There is a good picture at http://www.chem.ox.ac.uk/crl.html
The CRL is the large new silver, white and mostly glass building with a double row of stainless steel chimneys on top. It is on the West corner of South Parks Rd and Mansfield Rd in the Oxford University science area. The vehicle entrance is between two large Victorian houses: the Department of Statistics at 1 & 2 South Parks Rd.
The Statistical Greenery at the front is trying to hide the sign for the vehicle entrance.
It is in white writing on a blue background.
The picture to the right shows the sign as approached from the East - pointing Left
(If you approach from the North it points Right!)The entrance is opposite a Laing O'Rourke building site (which will one day be Earth Sciences).
Once in the CRL courtyard the entrance to the building is on the left.
Car Parking For Classic Cars

Car Parking For Regular Cars
The parking at CRL may well be full up. Please expect to be directed to park in the Science area on the North Side of South Parks Road (entrance opposite Mansfield Road). Please ensure that you display one of our parking passes. (Alternatively, there is public parking on Mansfield Road.)

Once in South Parks Road, you will pass Rhodes House with a green domed roof (on the RHS)
and Robinson Close (on the LHS).
